What You Should Know About Summer ’19 Release
Enhanced Related Lists allow displaying up to 10 columns, resizing and sorting of columns, performing mass actions, and wrapping text. The Related List Type dropdown (1) allows customizing how many records to display at once and choose whether to show the list view action bar.
Zoom Through Related Lists with Quick Filters
Another significant improvement of related lists is the Quick Filters, providing a quick way to find the data in the related list. Related list Quick Filters are different from regular list view filters in that they aren’t saved, persist only throughout the current session, and can’t be shared.
Choose from Two Record View Options
Now you have two record page view default options. Choose between the current view - now called grouped view, and the new full view. The full view displays all details and related lists on the same page. If you’re transitioning to Lightning Experience, this view is similar to Salesforce Classic.
Get Notified When Reports Conditions Are Met
With the new release, it is no more necessary to wait to find out when an important aggregate in the Salesforce report reaches a meaningful threshold. When a change affects the desired report, report subscribers can receive the updated information right away. For instance, set conditions to send an email when the opportunity amount rises above 100. Choose whether the email contains a summary of the conditions that were met or a summary plus the whole report.
Merge up to 3 Cases into a Single Record
In a situation when there are duplicate Cases or Cases that should be merged into a single case the merge Case feature comes in handy allowing to merge two or three Cases into one master record. When Cases are merged, the master record is updated with chosen field values. Most related lists, feed items, and child records are merged into the master record.
Evaluate Each Record in Reports with Row-Level Formulas (Beta)
Answering business questions sometimes means making a calculation on every row in a report. With row-level formulas, it is not needed to export report data to a spreadsheet or ask an admin to create a one-off custom formula field. Instead, write a row-level formula directly in the Lightning report builder. This new functionality enables for example to write a row-level formula on an opportunity report to calculate the number of days between each opportunity's created date and close date.
Create Lightning Experience In-App Guidance
Use clicks, not code to create in-app guidance to engage directly with your users. Write your own content and include action buttons to an important URL of your choice in the prompts. You can pick the target audience and specify where the prompts appear and for how long.
Send Surveys for Free
Surveys and invitations can be sent for free without a license as of the new release. Later payment is based on the number of responses received after the free allotment. Send personalized email invitations to participants. Enhance the user experience with an increased character limit for questions, response choices, and participant comments.
Celebrate Sales Milestones
Gamify the user experience of your teams and celebrate their successes. Toss some virtual confetti when reps reach a designated path stage, for example, winning an opportunity. You can choose the frequency, such as always for those hard-won victories or only sometimes for daily occurrences.
